Refractive Surgery Research Study

Dr. Kerry Solomon is seeking participants for a research study investigating the use of a medication (eye drops) to treat visual disturbances in dim light after refractive surgery. Patients with a history of refractive surgery may experience dim light disturbance, such as glare or seeing halos or starbursts around lights. This makes tasks, such as driving at night, difficult. Your participation may last up to 6 weeks and include 5 visits. Visits will take place at Carolina Eyecare Physicians in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Study-related medication and exams will be provided at no cost to you. You may be compensated for your time and travel expenses. Volunteer requirements include being age 18 years and older, a history of refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, RK, LRI, SMILE), and able to complete all study visits. For more information, please contact our research department at (843) 380 2499 or cepresearch@cepmd.com.
