Yoga for the Eyes

If you think about it, we don’t really move our eyes all that much. We look at the computer screen, the TV or books and magazines. Aside from the slight left-to-right movement of reading, our eyes are well, couch potatoes. You can practice some eye exercises that can strengthen your eye muscles. Called simply “eye exercises” or a more sophisticated “eye yoga,” these are basic movements that force your eyes to look in directions you don’t typically look. You can go through a series of exercises that include looking from side to side, up and down, diagonally, in circles and at your nose (don’t worry, your eyes won’t stick that way). Even Paul McCartney is promoting eye yoga. You can walk through the exercises with him in this YouTube video. Let us know if you’ve tried eye yoga and how it works for you.
