EVO ICL
Discover Visual Freedom with EVO ICL
Experience a quick, pain-free transformation to crisp, clear vision.
During the procedure, Dr. Solomon implants a small, soft lens made from Collamer®—a collagen co-polymer that is flexible, stable and biocompatible—resulting in a quick and painless experience. After numbing the eye with eye drops, the lens is inserted through a small incision and placed between the iris (the colored part of your eye) and the natural lens of the eye. Following the procedure, many patients experience excellent vision quality almost immediately. Since EVO ICL implantation doesn’t involve any structural alteration of the eye, the results are predictable and highly stable.
Benefits of EVO ICL
- Superior Vision Quality – EVO ICL is crafted with exceptional optical precision resulting in clearer, sharper vision, especially at night. The implanted lens does not cause halos or glaring like other corrective procedures.
- Biocompatibility – Made from Collamer, a collagen co-polymer, EVO ICL is harmonious with your natural eye and seamlessly accepted by your body’s immune system.
- Comfort – EVO ICL has a soft and flexible structure. Once implanted, it remains imperceptible in your eye, ensuring a comfortable experience without any sensation of its presence.
- UV Protection – Unlike other vision correction procedures, EVO ICL provides protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays that are damaging to the eye.
- Invisibility – EVO ICL is completely unnoticeable once implanted, providing a natural appearance.
- Removability –Although designed for permanent placement and vision correction, EVO ICL can be safely removed by your surgeon if removal or replacement becomes necessary for any reason.
Is EVO ICL the right option for you?
EVO ICL offers an alternative solution for patients who may not be a candidate for other vision correction procedures. If you experience moderate to high levels of nearsightedness, Dr. Kerry Solomon’s team may recommend EVO ICL as a suitable option for vision correction. Alternatively, if you have mild nearsightedness but have thin corneas, making you ineligible for LASIK, EVO ICL may be a good choice for you.
EVO ICL is most appropriate for individuals between the ages of 21 and 45. However, it’s important to note that EVO ICL may not be suitable for everyone. EVO ICL cannot safely correct farsightedness since individuals with farsightedness have limited space in the front part of their eyes, making it challenging to accommodate an implanted lens. Additionally, if you have even a minor cataract, ICL is not recommended as an appropriate solution. A complimentary consultation conducted by Dr. Kerry Solomon’s Vision Correction Specialists will determine whether EVO ICL is the best option for your specific needs.
